Referral Program Terms

These terms govern the vant waitlist referral program, run by Vant ("vant", "we", "us"). Taking part means you accept them. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

No purchase is necessary and nothing is for sale. Taking part costs nothing.

1. Who can take part

You can take part if you are 18 or older and a resident of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia, and you joined the vant waitlist and confirmed your email.

Employees of vant, their immediate families, and anyone living in their household may share a link but cannot claim a reward.

We ship rewards within the United States only.

2. How it works

1. Join the waitlist and confirm your email by clicking the link we send you. 2. You then get a personal referral link. 3. Share it. When someone joins through your link and confirms their own email, that is one confirmed referral. 4. Reach a tier, earn what it says.

3. The tiers

Tiers are cumulative: reach 10 and you have earned all three.

What the founders' batch is, precisely. Three things: a founder number, assigned in the order people reach this tier and yours to keep; a card carrying that number, which ships inside your first order rather than on its own — if you never order, you never receive the card, though the number remains yours; and the chance to place an order before general availability at each launch, including this one.

That last part is an opportunity to buy, not a discount, not free product, and not a guarantee that any particular quantity will be available to you. The first run is limited and is sized to demand; we do not promise a number of boxes to anyone, and stock may run out. "Every launch" means products we actually release — we are not promising that any specific future product exists or will exist.

4. What counts, and what does not

A referral counts only when the person you referred confirms their own email address. A signup that is never confirmed never counts.

These do not count, and we may remove them:

• Referring yourself, including with another email address you control.
• More than one signup from the same person.
• Disposable, temporary or auto-generated email addresses.
• Addresses entered without that person's knowledge or consent.
• Signups produced by a bot, a script, or any automated means.
• Buying, selling or trading referrals or links.
• Posting your link as spam, or anywhere that prohibits it.

We may cap the number of referrals credited from a single source, device or network.

5. If you share your link publicly

If you post your link where other people will see it — social media, a forum, a group chat, a video — you must make it clear that you receive free product if people sign up through it. Something as plain as "I get free product if you join through this" is enough, and it must be easy to see, not buried in a comment or behind a "more" link.

This is a legal requirement under the FTC's Endorsement Guides, not a house rule.

Do not say anything about vant that is not true. In particular, do not claim vant treats, prevents or cures any condition — it does not, and nobody may say it does on our behalf.

6. How rewards are fulfilled

• We verify first. Referrals are reviewed before anything ships. This is why rewards are sent at launch rather than the moment you hit a number.
• The founder card is not posted on its own. It is packed into your first order. Your founder number is yours either way.
• One reward per tier, per person, per household and per postal address.
• We will ask for your postal address for the mailed rewards, and we will only use it to send them. You will be told the deadline to give it; if we do not hear back we cannot ship.
• Rewards have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged, transferred, resold or redeemed for money or credit. We may substitute a reward of equal or greater value if we have to.
• Flavour, format and pack contents may change between now and launch. The formula is not final and is still subject to our manufacturer and to label review.
• Any tax is yours. We do not expect these to be taxable, but we are not giving tax advice.

7. If vant does not launch

vant is a product in development. It has not been manufactured yet and the first run has not been ordered.

If we have not launched within 12 months of the date you earn a reward, or if we decide not to launch at all, we will email everyone with an unfulfilled reward and tell them plainly which it is. We will not quietly let the promise lapse.

We do not promise a launch date, and nothing on our site or in our emails should be read as one.

8. Abuse, and what we can do about it

If we reasonably believe someone has broken section 4, we may remove referrals, withhold or reclaim a reward, or remove them from the waitlist. Where it looks like an honest mistake we will say what happened and give a chance to respond first. Where it looks deliberate, we may act without notice.

Our decision on whether a referral counts is final.

9. Changes and ending the program

We may change these terms, change what a tier gives, or end the program. If we do:

• Rewards already earned will be honoured on the terms that applied when they were earned.
• We will give 30 days' notice by email before reducing or removing a tier, so anyone partway toward one has a fair chance to reach it.
• Changes will be posted here with a new effective date.

10. Privacy

We use your email to run the program, and a referral link tells us who referred whom. If you earn a mailed reward we will collect a postal address for that purpose only. See our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your waitlist record ends any referral credit attached to it, including rewards not yet fulfilled.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability in connection with this program is limited to the retail value of the reward in question. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New York.
